- רַמַּאי, רַמַּייm. (רָמָה Pi.) deceiver, impostor. B. Mets.III, 4, sq., v. פָּסַד. Deut. R. s. 4 ולא שהיהר׳ח״ווכ׳ not that, which God forbid, he was a deceiver, v. רָמָה. Gen. R. s. 63 (play on ארמי, Gen. 25:20) אביהר׳ ואחיהר׳וכ׳ her father was a deceiver, and her brother was a deceiver, and so were all the men of her place, v. רַמָּיוּת; a. fr.Pl. רַמָּאִים, רַמָּאִין, רַמָּיִין.
